These mics work well for short term. Long term and you will likely suffer from ear fatigue.
Stick with the Breeze. Works really well, no ear fatigue but it is expensive.
Face it....Ever since Major and got ours we have no problems contacting him or understanding me ( as long as I'm not whispering) .

Hey guys....Just wanted to let everyone know that I used my radio today for the first time and it really worked well. The Breeze headset and radio combination seems to be the way to go for me. Everyone heard me everytime and I was able to hear them really well. The real test will be on a bigger field for 24 hours.
Anyone interested in looking at these radios and headset please go to the following links.

Capy,
Does your unit fit in the radio pocket of your COPS vest, or did you have to get a different sized radio pouch on your new vest (or do you even carry that unit in the radio pouch) ??

Yea...That's what I've been told by other military personnel. It meets military specs.

I have a new vest with a slightly larger pocket so it works really well. I did however try it in the old vest and it fit ok there but was a little snug with the headset attached.
If your wondering why I switched from the Rhino; it's because I kept getting complaints from the NON Rhino users that they were having a hard time understanding me. Dave had the same complaints about him as well. I think part was due to the throat mics. This system has twice the watts and a much better headset. The Breeze headset fits over each ear with hooks and has a speaker over the left ear. It does not effect my hearing in that ear and you forget you even have it on because of the comfort. There is a boom mic that stretchs from the left side to your mouth and the mask does NOT interfere with it.
Not the cheapest setup but so far it seems worth every penny. 8)
